Finance Ministry dismisses Ken Ofori-Atta resignation claims
The Ministry of Finance has dismissed assertions circulating around that the Minister for Finance Ken Ofori-Atta has resigned.
The Finance Ministry in response to the claims said the Finance Minister is still at post and that the public should disregard the claims circulating on social media.
“The Ministry wishes to assure the general public that there is no truth in these rumours. Mr Ken Ofori-Atta is at post and focused on his mandate, given to him by His Excellency the President, to serve the people of Ghana in his capacity as Finance Minister.”
“The general public is advised to disregard these rumours,” the statement read.
Reasons for which rumours of the Minister’s resignation are circulating on social media are unknown.
